In development for about 3 years, Chapter 3 of Jack of AllTrades, We Once Were, is my most ambitious chapter yet. 51 pages, fully colored, shaded, and effected, with a special eye for detail, consistency and polish, I wanted to continue to push my workflow to improve and produce something independently that would usually require a team of coordinated professionals. Besides the 3 years (I partially blame the pandemic, everybody), I think this chapter was a rousing success.
We see a bit of Jack's backstory and what makes him tick. We come to find that only Elly really has an ideal relationship with her family, and perhaps to a fault. Tasha struggles with her mom, but uses her frustration to her benefit to prove to Elly (and herself) that she actually does care about someone besides herself. And she has a bit of fun while doing it.
And now, after 3 years of working on CH3, I am excited as ever to get started on Chapter 4. I suspect I can have a rough together by October of this year, but we aren't going to see anything with polish until 2022.
