The Future Universe is a project conceived by Cory Allan as a collaborative, sandbox effort to create an open-source universe. The project encourages the production of fiction within the Future Universe.

The Future Universe maintains a canon with its established people, places, and published fiction. The comic, The Future Universe, created by Allan and Wasson, establishes a canon baseline.
